We may be miles away from Munich here in Jersey City, but that doesn’t mean that our local beer lovers have to go without celebrating Oktoberfest! Here near our Lenox apartments, we have lots of beer gardens we can check out to get in on the fun.
Whether you’re looking for that perfect pretzel or a giant stein of beer to indulge in, visit these Jersey City beer gardens to celebrate Oktoberfest, which is typically celebrated in both September and October in Germany. They’re bound to be brimming with excitement!
Zeppelin Hall Beer Garden, located at 88 Liberty View Dr, Jersey City which is a 10 minute walk from your Lenox apartment, is a busy European-style venue with self-serve German and American grub and 100+ beers, plus live music and DJs.
As in Europe, there are no seating assignments at Zeppelin Hall, but they do take reservations for their 30-foot long community tables where you can relax with friends or meet someone new. Plus, after 9 p.m., Zeppelin Hall lowers the lights and turns up the music to get all guests up out of their seats!
Pilsener Haus & Biergarten, located at 1422 Grand St, Hoboken which is 15 minutes from your Lenox apartment, is known for their sausages, beer and other Austrian-Hungarian favorites served at communal tables both indoors and outside.
Here, visitors can find over 20 premium drafts and over 50 European and American craft beers by the bottle and can, as well as classic biergarten cuisine with a modern twist – diners can choose from seasonal specials, vegetarian dishes and even some gluten-free options.
